Panoblu's ONVIF module turns a single masthead unit into multiple virtual cameras, day or thermal, each one independently controlled, every one ready to stream into Agent DVR, ODM, Milestone, or any standards-compliant VMS.

A Panoblu unit captures the full panorama at all times. The ONVIF module lets your VMS treat slices of that panorama as separate cameras: point one viewport at the foredeck, another at the stern, a third at the boarding gate. One 360° unit becomes many dedicated PTZs, each with its own day or thermal preference, on whichever stations the captain, the security office, and the bridge are using.

Each frustum is a virtual PTZ your VMS sees as its own 4:3 camera. Watch them pan, tilt and zoom independently, day or thermal, while the unit itself never moves. The joystick is the VMS-side operator driving the starboard viewport live.

Multiple virtual cameras, one device
Configure as many independent viewports as the vessel needs. Each appears in your VMS as its own ONVIF camera, with its own pan, tilt, and zoom, although there is only one physical unit on the mast.
Day and thermal, independently per viewport
Run one virtual camera in colour for the foredeck while another sits in LWIR thermal for the stern. AUTO lets a viewport follow the main feed; manual modes let bridge and security each see what they need.
Streams as standard RTSP / H.264
Every virtual camera is a standard RTSP H.264 stream over your existing LAN. No proprietary client required for the VMS-side workflow. Authentication is built in.
Drops into the VMS you already run.
Panoblu's ONVIF module aligns with ONVIF Profile S behaviour for core Device, Media, and PTZ services. Standards-compliant clients see Panoblu as a familiar device, with profiles, presets, and a virtual PTZ, without asking your integrator to learn a new SDK.
Panoblu is not formally ONVIF-certified. Behaviour is aligned with Profile S. Some client-specific quirks may apply, and we work with your integrator on first install.

Do I need a new VMS?
No. If your VMS is ONVIF Profile S-compatible, including Agent DVR, ODM, Milestone, and most current systems, Panoblu drops in as a standard ONVIF device.
How many virtual cameras can I run?
The default Panoblu configuration exposes a set of named streams: a main feed, a remote feed, and up to four independent virtual PTZ viewports. Additional configurations are available; speak to your integrator.
Can different viewers see different things at the same time?
Yes. That is the point. Each ONVIF profile is independent, so different operators can be looking at different parts of the panorama, in different modes, simultaneously.
Is the ONVIF module standard or an extra?
ONVIF support is part of the Panoblu platform. It is enabled and configured by a Panoblu engineer at install.
