One unit, both ways of seeing
A single housing at the masthead carries two kinds of eyes: thermal, which reads heat and works in the dark, and visible light, which gives full colour and detail in daylight. Both look everywhere at the same time, all the time, and both are recorded — so the watch can look at anything, and look back at it later.
Everything, all the time
Panoblu stares. Every bearing is watched and recorded at once, so nothing depends on where a camera happened to be pointing. A conventional camera is aimed — it shows one bearing at a time, and the rest of the horizon while it is turned away is simply not there.
Day and night in the same picture
In daylight, full-colour 4K detail. After dark, thermal imagery that reads heat rather than light, so a tender coming alongside at three in the morning is as visible as one at noon. The crew moves between the two in the same viewer.
One installation, not two
Both spectrums arrive in one housing: one place on the mast, one cable run, one commissioning, one thing to maintain. That is why it is the configuration most owners choose.
What the system is looking through
Every Panoblu shares the same housing; what differs between models is which arrays are fitted. This is a plan view from directly above, with the bow at the top — each mark is a lens, and together they cover the full circle.

Planning and commissioning
Panoblu engineering with the yard and the crew: installation planning, drawings, engineering works and commissioning, so the installation is designed before anyone lifts a tool.
A better view, and a memory of it
Panoblu gives the people aboard something they have never had: the whole horizon, kept. What that means in practice is worth being clear about before it is aboard.
The system watches and remembers; the crew interprets. It is persistent imagery for human eyes and human judgement — the officer of the watch stays the one who decides what matters.
Because everything is recorded, questions that used to be unanswerable get answered: what passed at 04:00, how the anchorage filled, when the tender left. Around two months stays on board, and how long it keeps is configurable to the vessel.
Storage, the viewer and capture live inside the masthead unit, so the system is complete on its own. Server software, cloud reach and the upward thermal add-on can all come later.
