Panoblu IR 360° Situational Awareness

At sea or alongside, security depends on knowing what’s happening all around you, not just where a camera happens to be pointing. Traditional PTZ and fixed systems can leave blind spots or miss crucial moments when situations develop.Panoblu eliminates that risk.

Using a seamless combination of thermal infrared and daylight 360° imaging Panoblu continuously records and displays every angle around the vessel in real time. Whether monitoring decks, tenders, or the waterline, the crew can instantly spot movement, heat signatures, or approaching craft, even in complete darkness, fog, or glare.

In a security context this means:
  • Total perimeter awareness: detect intrusions or unauthorised activity anywhere around the yacht.
  • Event replay: review incidents frame-by-frame from any direction for clear evidence and understanding.
  • Man Overboard and rescue visibility: maintain sight of people or objects in the water without panning or switching cameras.
  • Anchor and harbour watch: track tenders, swimmers, or approaching vessels in every direction at once.

Panoblu’s solid-state, marine-grade design integrates directly with existing bridge and security displays, providing a unified layer of protection that never stops recording. No moving parts or panning delays, just complete situational awareness, day or night.

Interactive 360° Demo

Explore an interactive version of the clip shown in the video above.
For the best experience, view it on a touch-enabled device such as an iPad, or use a trackpad that supports gesture controls.

The demo includes Panoblu RAD (Range Awareness Display), which highlights the distance to targets at water level — making it easier to understand how the system perceives range and movement in real time.

Please note: this footage was captured during our sea trials, where we gathered valuable insights that shaped later refinements. The video has been downsampled to ensure smooth playback across a wide range of internet connections.

Man Overboard Demonstration

During our sea trials, we conducted a controlled Man Overboard (MOB) test to demonstrate how Panoblu enables continuous visual contact with a person in the water while the vessel is underway and manoeuvring for recovery. Throughout the manoeuvre, the individual remains visible from splash to retrieval, clearly showing how full-sphere awareness can make the difference when every second counts.

As a note, this was recorded and the frame adjusted in post-production utilising the same interface which is available during a live manoeuvre using a touch screen device, in this case an iPad.
